A document transition on a document type an elected contract moderates, while nobody
moderates the contract: its declaration names no interim moderators, and no team is
seated yet, so the type can not be used.
A moderation action by the seated team of an elected contract that the contract’s
declaration does not give the team: a ban, a suspension or a warning (or lifting one) when
no moderated document type carries the ability, or a document deletion or restore on a type
that does not carry deleteDocuments. The team acts with the declaration’s abilities and no
others.
The approval of a moderator’s deletion of a settled document on an elected contract that has
no seated moderation team yet. Only the members of a seated team delete a settled document,
and the rule that says which of them must approve names its leader: no interim moderator
deletes one.
An approval of the proposal to delete a settled document that changed since it was
proposed: its revision or its last modification moved, so the team would approve the
deletion of content it never saw. A member proposes afresh.
The proposal or approval of a settled document’s deletion by a member the leader added to
the seated team after the document was created, on a type whose deleteSettled rule admits
only members from before the document (approversPredateDocument, on by default). The
leader names whom it adds, so such members could otherwise be added to approve whatever the

A moderator’s field change names a field the document type does not list under
moderatorAbilities.changeFields; a type listing none refuses every field.
A document create or replace sets, changes or removes a field its type lists under
moderatorAbilities.changeFields, and its signer does not moderate the contract: only
the moderators write those fields.
The approval of a moderator’s deletion of a settled document that is not settled: it was last
modified within the window its type gives its moderators (moderatorAbilities.deleteWithin),
in which a moderator deletes it alone, with a DeleteDocument.
The approval of a moderator’s deletion of a settled document of a document type that does not
say who must approve one (moderatorAbilities.deleteSettled): past its deleteWithin
window, no moderator deletes a document of the type.
An addedModerator of the moderation charters contract for a seated charter that already
has as many additions as its target contract’s elected declaration allows
(maxAddedModerators). The additions that exist count: deleting one frees its slot.
A ban, a suspension, a warning or a document deletion by a member of a contract’s seated
moderation team whose reason names no reason document, or one the team’s proposal does not
list. Every such action of a seated team names a reason document of the moderation
charters contract that its proposal lists; a proposal that lists none can take no such
action. Lifting a ban, a suspension or warnings and restoring a document carry no reason
and are not checked, and neither are the moderators a declaration names.
A restore of a document the contract’s seated moderation team deleted together, its approvals
meeting its type’s moderatorAbilities.deleteSettled rule: no single moderator undoes what
the leader and the members agreed on, so the deletion stands.
